Submersible drone for scour inspection
Eng-Tech Consulting have recently added a submersible drone to the team. The drone allows our services to include underwater photography, video, surveys and inspections in a broad range of freshwater and saltwater environments particularly used for scour investigations.
Submersible drones have been available to the consumer for a little over twelve months and like their airborne counterparts, are now being used for a range of sub-surface work in areas that were once the preserve of traditional (and expensive) inspection methods. We believe that we can offer a comprehensive underwater survey and inspection service, providing high resolution photography and Ultra-HD video at lower cost, without compromising quality and safety.
- 100m operating depth, up to 2 to 4 hour endurance.
- Flow resistance 2m/sec; max speed 2m/sec.
- 100m tether that can be detached from the drum with wi-fi buoy to extend operations >100m distance.
- 2 x 2000 lumen light sources.
- Camera: 12 mega-pixel stills & 4K UHD video at 30 frames/sec; colour filters for camera giving true underwater colour.
